Here are some pictures I’ve been wanting to share. Some are ok, some aren’t great, but I like them, and have been persuaded that I don’t post enough pictures. So here, enjoy them! If you are interested, feel free to ask about them.

#12: Cherry blossoms? Beautiful!
#6: Is that a bunraku puppet?
#8: Was this taken during a rural adventure, or did it seriously snow this much in Tokyo?
Thanks for posting some pics, Cory!

Thanks for making me happy, Ali! I was too lazy to explain at the time, but prodding makes me happy to explain!
#12: Hooray! A little early, but they’re still pretty, right?
#6: This is a doll for “Hina Matsuri” or the girls’ festival. Most families (and places? this was at the pre-school) will set up an ornamental shelf with dolls. This is the “Odairi Sama” who sits up top next to the “Hina Sama.” I wanted to try out my macro function.
#8 Yeah, this was taken during the aforementioned Niigata Ken adventure. I’m pretty sure it didn’t snow at all in Tokyo while I was away. In fact, it’s been about 60 recently.

Very cool. I envy you–being in Japan when the cherry blossoms bloom! Aw, shucks.
